Nasal polyps & associated symptoms including congestion & loss of smell in adult patient ≥18 yr. Symptoms of acute rhinosinusitis in patient ≥12 yr w/o signs & symptoms of severe bacterial infection. Acute episodes of sinusitis as adjunctive treatment to antibiotic in adult & adolescent ≥12 yr.
Nasal polyps Adult ≥18 yr 2 sprays in each nostril bid, alternatively 2 sprays in each nostril once daily. Acute rhinosinusitis2 sprays in each nostril bid. Adjunctive treatment of acute episodes of sinusitis Adult & adolescent ≥12 yr2 sprays in each nostril bid, may be increased to 4 sprays in each nostril bid.
Hypersensitivity. Presence of untreated localized infection involving nasal mucosa. Patients w/ recent nasal surgery or trauma until healing has occurred.
Epistaxis. Nasal septum perforation (prolonged use). Development of glaucoma &/or cataracts. Immunosuppression; active or quiescent TB infections of resp tract, untreated fungal, bacterial, systemic viral infections or ocular herpes simplex. Hypercorticism & adrenal suppression. Close monitoring in patients w/ a change in vision or history of IOP, glaucoma &/or cataracts. Hepatic impairment. Monitor childn for growth suppression. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr for nasal polyps.
